How are Zip Code Assignments Decided?

You are assigned zip codes based upon your location. 

Lebanon, Kansas Example

If you live in Lebanon, Kansas (which is the geographic center of the USA), your first zip code that would be assigned as yours would be 66952.

The current population of that zip code is about 500, and the minimum total population that is covered by is 10,000.  So, that is using only 10% of what is allotted.  We would check the populations of neighboring zip codes to make up the difference.

This data was checked again on 03/02/2019 at 8:59:34 PM and the results are below.

  1. 66592 = 477
  2. 66941 = 236
  3. 66967 = 1,995
  4. 68970 = 1,285
  5. 67430 = 479
  6. 66936 = 280
  7. 67474 = 136
  8. 67638 = 120

These eight zip codes above total 5,008.  So, if there is someone living in any one of those zip codes that would like to become famous by being in the dead center of the physical United States of America, they should get a license!

  • So, a Lebanon, Kansas affiliate would be assigned all 8 zip codes above plus as many more as needed to reach 10,000 total coverage.

Any business generated directly by one of Best Way Websites' corporately managed sites or marketing programs would automatically discover the Lebanon, Kansas affiliate and the new business would be credited to their account.

The affiliate would earn 100% of their commissions for both setups (1 time fees) and recurring monthly or annual fees as well.

Protecting Additional Zip Codes

If you are growing your business and doing well, you may request to protect additional zip codes that are nearby.  Note that we will require that you commit to actively marketing in those areas.

Geographic Connection or Human Connections Required

We do NOT allow affiliates or licensees to protect zip codes that are disconnected from their own area.  (You can't have your primary location be in Dallas, Texas and ask to secure a Seattle, Washington zip code unless your are actively marketing there via a person that is physically there).  Telemarketing or other forms of marketing are certainly acceptable, but cannot be used to petition for additional zip codes in a remote region.  Please understand this. 

In such a case, refer another affiliate or licensee that lives there instead.  You'll get 5% of all of their sales and we'll all be happy.

We don't want our affiliates and licensees "putting more zip codes under their belts" just as a way of eliminating potential competition. 

  • Sell some websites within that zip code BEFORE making your request to add it to your license.  This will demonstrate to us that you are actively marketing in that zip code!

If Your Petition for an Additional Zip Code Is Accepted

You will be required to pay 10% of the additional zip code population (1 time fee).

If we assign a zip code to you, no one else can have it, so if you are not going to make money from that zip code, why do you want it?  Let someone else have it that will make some money.

We discourage our affiliates from wasting money from a covetous motivation.

We'll grant you more zip codes, but frankly don't want you to have them if you are not marketing them and we know that is simply common sense.

As already explained, affiliates and licensees can market anywhere.

We created our program this way because we believe their are three roads that lead to sales.

Local Owners with Universal Power

The first, primary road that leads to sales is you as a local owner with universal power.

As an affiliate or a licensee, you are an independent contractor.  You are not an employee.  You control your own schedule.  Best Way Websites will offer advice that we think will help you make sales, but we cannot control you.  So, you are your own boss and own your own piece of the website development and internet marketing pie.

One potential obstacle that you must overcome is the possibility that businesses with whom you communicate don't think you (locally) can offer them the same thing that they can get from one of the "big names" that spend a million dollars a day advertising.

That is why you need to tout your connection with Best Way Websites.

If an affiliate or licensee (like yourself) refers a business to Best Way Websites, and the business that they referred has a business zip code that belongs to another affiliate or licensee, the referring licensee still gets the credit.  (Not the local licensee in this case).

To reinforce what has been explained about Best Way Websites "no compete" - the company WILL NOT COMPETE against our affiliates or licensees, but affiliates and licensees can and do compete against one another.  This we allow.

That being said, you will have the most success marketing where your are known and liked.

Target Focused Niche or Verticals

The third road that leads to sales is target focused niche or verticals.

Our general target market is small business owners, including your local, "brick and mortar" product related businesses, service-related businesses that do not have public storefronts or offices and "mom and pop" enterprises.

Each one of these businesses qualifies as a "small business", but it is also a specific type of business.  That "type" of business is a "niche" or "vertical".

If your Licensee Brand is a VERTICAL

If a seeker comes across Best Way Websites and registers for an account, if that person's zip code is one of your protected zip codes, you still will get 100% of your commission even though you had nothing to do with the generation of the lead.
